JAMIE BOSWELL
Bio
Born just outside Chicago, IL and raised in Buffalo, NY, I learned at an early age that I wanted to be involved in the arts. My attraction to the performing arts began with my parents who, despite both being Presbyterian Ministers, love the arts and were heavily involved with performing when they were younger. My Mom’s gorgeous Mezzo-Soprano voice, my Dad’s weekly sermons, and their undying support for their four kids to pursue their passions, guided me to find my love of the arts. However, my crippling stage fright as a kid made me think I would never be in the spotlight. Thank goodness my older sister paved the way and joined our middle school’s Theatre Troupe. Inspired, I took the plunge and auditioned in 6th grade. Surprisingly, I was cast as Daddy Warbucks in Annie Jr., was the same height and vocal part as Annie (we were both sopranos), and the rest is history.
Proudly graduated from Kenmore East High School in 2011 and went on to receive my BFA in Musical Theatre from LIU Post in 2015, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors. Currently living in New York City and chasing my dream.
